10 New Desktop Backgrounds
Wallpaper. I got yer wallpaper right here! Get ‘em while they’re hot! It’s been a while since I’ve done some new wallpaper images and now I’m catching up on the past few months…and while I was at it, I decided to change the way the system works. One of my biggest peeves with finding desktop wallpapers is the whole size thing. Is it the correct resolution? Is it too small to work? But I use a widescreen monitor, now I’ll have to stretch the image. Then it gets even worse when you’re trying to make them for other people. How many different resolutions do I need to cover? Widescreen 16:9 or Standard 4:3 or one of the weird ratios that many monitors use? The whole thing gets too messy for my liking. These things should be quick and easy.
Well, that’s what I’m hoping to do with the new wallpaper formats.
No more resolutions to sort through. From now on I just offer big, fat, high resolution images that will work on 99 44/100% of the monitors that look at this site. In fact, the widescreen versions are a higher resolution than your top-of-the-line HD television’s picture…so suck on that, Sony! Speaking of ‘widescreen’ screens, that’s one of two possible choices. The other is ’standard’ screen. That’s all you need to know. Is your monitor widescreen (16:9) or standard (4:3)?
Seems a lot easier than trying to figure out what your screen resolution is and then looking around forever to get a wallpaper you like only to find it’s not available in a resolution that matches your needs. From now on, you just pick widescreen or standard around here. We got you covered like like that. So go check out the new ‘easy to use’ wallpapers. They start at the bottom of Wallpaper Page 8 and continue on Wallpaper Page 9.
Also wanted to thank everyone who added themselves as fans of Coasterimage over on Facebook. That’s a great way to keep up with what’s going on here between official updates. Also a good line of communication. I’m always willing to answer questions or whatever. And hey, everyone’s welcome to upload photos and stuff over there. You can even take the Name That Coaster quiz. We be happening at Facebook.
Still not sure what we’ll be doing as far as parks this summer, but that’s probably ok because I still have something sick like 20 parks worth of material to work on and get added to the site. As usual, keep us on the radar – you never know what’ll be popping up next.
