2009 Season DVD Is Here

I just finished the 2009 coasterimage.com DVD and all you have to do is download and enjoy it. This year’s DVD features eight videos from the 2009 season along with a bunch of totally random unused footage (from Disney World even) – the whole thing totals nearly two hours making it the biggest DVD we’ve done yet. The usual rules apply, just download it and burn yourself a couple of copies and you’re good to go. Coasterimage.com DVDs are always free and this year is no exception.

Keep in mind that a big DVD means a big download. Please be patient as it will take some time to get the full file. Right now I only have the BitTorrent link up – the best way to get this to a large number of people is to share and that’s what BitTorrent is all about. I will have a direct link available in the near future, but for the initial offering the only way to score a copy of the DVD is using BitTorrent. The direct link will be given to Twitter followers and Facebook fans before it is posted on the site (I like to roll these things out in steps when dealing with large files and huge demand) so if you want in on the early direct link, make sure you’re following us on Twitter and/or a fan on Facebook.

I think that covers it for now. The DVD will be available via the BitTorrent link for the next week or two, then we’ll roll out the other options. Of course, you can get all of these videos (with the exception of the bonus unused footage) online already in HD quality (better than DVD) already if you swing by our Vimeo page. Still the DVDs are fun – especially if you have a big ol’ home theater setup.

Looking ahead, we’re starting to talk 2010 trips so expect that info to start trickling in. I still have a few more photos to add to the site and I have a couple of other site updates in the pipeline too (maps, ride index, etc). As we head into spring be sure to keep checking back, it’ll be coaster season before you know it.
