Phantom Fright Nights

Oct 27, 2003

Full blown updates are just around the corner. This past weekend we finished the 2003 season at Kennywood for Phantom fright nights. Kudos to Joel for hooking us up and for doing a great job at the park. All in all it was good fun. Phantom’s Revenge was running like I’ve never seen it run before - delivering SERIOUS airtime. Definitely one of the best coasters in the USA and pretty much the reason the station was full all night. We checked out the newly themed Volcano (formerly Enterprise) and decided it was a vast improvement. But this was Phantom Fright Nights after all. Thunderbolt spend the evening shrouded in eerie red fog and a big scary guy was wearing big scary sneakers. What’s with the “clowns are scary” thing? Clowns aren’t scary, they’re the drunks and perverts at the circus - oh wait, that is scary! And in one final bit of halloween weirdness, I was holding my camera and accidentally hit the shutter button resulting in a photo of a creepy looking spider on a wall. Fate? Boooooogie Oooogie! (note: links removed in site redesign - March 2005)

At any rate, I’m hoping to have the first update (most likely new SFGAdv pics) up by this weekend. I’ll have a new S:UF wallpaper ready to roll too. We’re finally getting settled into the new place and RCT has lost almost all of my interest, so now’s the time to update. Plus, my subwoofer sounds great here for some reason so that’s a plus! I’m sitting on tons of new stuff, so keep checking back!

Updates Coming Soon!

Oct 1, 2003

Sorry to get your hopes up…no new stuff quite yet. The move is still midway - we go today to make the new place “official” and start moving our crap in this weekend. Let me get totally moved and I’ll start rolling out the updates. I’ve been processing pics on the laptop in the hotel room, but currently lack the full resources to totally update galleries from here. The pics are half the work so as soon as we get settled in to our new home, I’ll be able to pump out the updates rather quickly. Hang in there with me and I’ll keep the new stuff coming all winter long and before you know it the 2004 season will be upon us all.
