New Design Preview
Feb 21, 2005You know, it was two years ago this week that I finally got this website online. I say ‘finally’ in that I registered the domain in September of 2000. I knew there’d be a time between then and going live - You kinda need material for people to look at. I just didn’t expect it to take as long as it did. I’m kind of bad at estimating my work time like that. It took me 2 1/2 years from the time I decided to do this until the time I actually got the site online. But since then we’ve turned this mutha into one of the most visited park media sites around…
…and that rocks!
So what? Well, I underestimated the time in redesigning this whole ugly thing too. I really, really wanted to be done by today. Where do I stand? I have everything done but the galleries (of course, the galleries make up about 90% of the site), but I’m more done than not. I have a little over 3300 photos on this site and as of right now, I’ve finished 2268 to be precise. I’m two thirds of the way!
So what? Well, here’s the deal - I should be done with the redesign in about two weeks. Give me another week to tie up loose ends, run back thought looking for errors and generally making sure things work right and I’ll be online with the new design, new galleries and a new video. I’m going to call it the week of March 14th - sound good?

So how do we celebrate 2 years online? By seeing Motley Crue in Cleveland on Tuesday (hey, the tour has a circus theme, so that’s like amusement park stuff, right?) - yeah, we’re just that hardcore….and lame.
