Como Town Pictures

Oct 28, 2005

How about a third gallery update for the month of October? Cool, huh? There are new Como Town pictures online for all to check out. It’s the third new gallery this month! You know you love Coasterimage.com and this is why. I’m happy to deliver.

This is just a small one though. I had hoped to put togther something bigger and get it up on Monday, but things changed and suddenly I find myself facing one last park visit for the year. Closing day at Cedar Point to be exact, but this is no ordinary visit. I’m heading over to help out with the next Coasterbuzz Podcast. This week’s offering will be recorded live at the park with a very special guest - Cedar Fair CEO, Dick Kinzel. The kicker is that it will be recorded live at the Red Garter Saloon with an audience and everyone is welcome to attend. So if you happen to have the chance to stop by Cedar Point this Sunday (the 30th), be sure to stop by the Red Garter Saloon at noon and check things out, it should be a good time. And don’t worry if you can’t make it, you’ll be able to download it Monday over at Coasterbuzz.

Plus, I’ll be flying solo for the day, so if you’re some weirdo stalker who’s always wanted to harass me at a park this is your chance to not only pin me down at a specific place and time, but also do it without witnesses.

Might be a good day to keep an eye on the Coasterimage Moblog too, there’s no reason I can’t serve up some closing day, Halloweekend fun from the park as well. If you’ve nothing better to do, be sure to check it out all day long for updates from the park.

This stop on Sunday will make 21 parks for the year - the biggest year yet for Coasterimage! Speaking of which, the schedule pages have been updated and as always are a good place to check if you’re curious as to what is still to be added or where we’re heading or whatnot. Heck, it’s even a way to get ideas for your own trips or to see exactly how you can fit 21 parks into a 5 month span. We’re sick like that.

Dollywood Pictures

Oct 14, 2005

Dollywood pictures are now online! That makes 66 parks total in the galleries. Not too shabby! We’re also closing in on 4000 photos, so that’s cool too.

Right now, it looks relatively solid that we’ll visit a park on Sunday - most likely it will be Geauga Lake. Of course that means more Coasterimage Moblog fun. I’ll let everyone know on Sunday morning whether we decided to head out or not, so check back then.

For now enjoy those Dollywood Photos, they’re just the first in a long line of updates that we have coming at you to make this offseason easier than ever.

Moblog Fun, Podcast Fun

Oct 10, 2005

Just a quick heads up for everyone. I will have Dollywood photos up later this week and then this weekend we’re expecting to do another daytrip. We’re currently undecided, but are thinking Ohio. We’ve already been to Wyandot Lake and Kings Island so you do the math as to what our options are. A Sunday stop at a park also means the Moblog returns. So keep an eye out for all of that as the week progresses, I’ll keep everyone updated.

In addition, be sure to check the latest offering from the Coasterbuzz Podcast, yours truly is back for Podcast #3 and again you get the chance to hear me sound much dumber than I like to think I am. The Coasterbuzz Podcast is a pretty decent listen so be sure you check it out even on weeks that I don’t make an appearance.

That’s where things stand; new podcast to check out, new Dollywood pics online in a couple of days and live park updates on the Moblog this weekend.

Six Flags Great America Pictures, Deja Vu Video

Oct 3, 2005

I warned you guys near the end of August that things slow down around here come fall and this year has been no exception. Looks like the dry spell is ending and all is about to get back up to speed. I have a lot to offer with this update so let’s just get to it.

First and foremost are the new Six Flags Great America pictures - 82 photos from the park. In addition, I’ve added a Deja Vu video…from Great America, of course. On top of that I have four new wallpaper images - all shots from Great America as well. It’s a Six Flags Great America extravaganza!

You’ll also find 5 new Roller Coaster Tycoon files, so be sure to take a look at those. Then I did a bunch of little things to the site, the usual ’stuff you won’t notice’ that makes things easier and/or better in the long run.

I just want to thank everyone for visiting the site and especially sticking with me through those slow periods. I have no idea what’s up next. I still have new photos from 10 different parks to get to (some new, some updates) and with all the little ‘upgrades’ I’ve been making to the site, I hope you’ll find us either entertaining or useful enough to pass the good word along. The site really exists and thrives because of the visitors. The more you give us, the more we can give back. So basically, thanks for the support, tell someone who might dig what we do about us and hopefully we can make winter seem a whole lot shorter with all the updates we have coming between now and spring.

You know, 2006 is looking awfully good for coaster fans…
