Little A-Merrick-A Pictures

Jan 23, 2006

Another update just as I promised! This time I offer a new gallery featuring 42 brand new photos of Little A-Merrick-A in Marshall, Wisconsin. These were taken back in late June. We stopped by on our way to Six Flags Great America from Wisconsin Dells. If ever in the area, I suggest a similar stop-off.

With this update the Gallery now includes 70 parks across the US and Canada. In addition, there are now photos of 300 different roller coasters. Lots to look at!

We’re still throwing around ideas here at coasterimage.com for 2006 trips. There’s a lot of interesting potential this season. Some new coasters that are must see, some old parks we’d like to get back to and some parks we’d like to visit for the first time. Keep an eye on our Travel Schedule - as soon as anything becomes remotely solid, it’ll get posted there.

Check back next week for those Indiana Beach photos. It’s an amazing little park.

Riverview Park Pictures

Jan 17, 2006

Here come the updates! Let’s get things started with a new gallery of photos from Riverview Park & Waterworld. There’s a handful of pics from a humid, overcast day this past June. Some decent shots considering the conditions. Make sure you check it out.

I’m finally back into the swing of things. I already have pictures from Little A-Merrick-A and Indiana Beach all finished up. Now I just need to throw the pages together and get it online. It should be rapid-fire from here. I’m hoping to get the Little A-Merrick-A gallery up within the next week and then the Indiana Beach gallery up before the end of the month. In fact, the updates should keep rolling right into the start of the 2006 season.

Short and sweet this time. Keep checking back for tons of updates over the next few weeks. A lot of good stuff coming!

Happy New Year 2006

Jan 1, 2006

Happy new year everyone! It was 5 years ago this month that I ordered my first camera with intentions of going out and getting some nice amusement park pictures for a future website. Things have come quite a way since then and before you know it, I’m here wishing a happy 2006 to the site’s visitors. Here’s to 5 more years of the best amusement park photography on the internet!

I apologize for no new update to start the year. I lost a little focus with the holidays, then I got a call that could lead to the whole music side of my life taking a more important spot. If that pans out like I hope, there could be some nice opportunities for fun and profit - so that pulled me away from the pics a little (Have you ever restored/built a drum kit? Fun, but work.) Then to top all of that off, the hard drive on my desktop seems to have gone loopy and right now replacing it isn’t exactly a priority. No desktop means using the laptop (which I hate - especially for photo work) to keep up with coasterimage.

What it all means is that I still have 4 new parks and 5 park updates to get online, but little time, resource or motivation to pump it out in typical coasterimage.com fashion. I absolutely refuse to become one of those sites that never seems to update. In fact, one of the reasons I’ve been very proud of this site is the ability to do frequent and timely updates.

So even though I’m being pulled in seemingly 16 different directions at once, I will work on getting all of that new material online. Ideally, I’ll get 2 gallery updates online this month. Keep an eye out because I expect to have them up sooner rather than later.

Other than that, not much new to report. Simple end of year updates for the most part. We have started thinking about this season’s trips. Lots of new coasters going up that look really good. Our focus will certainly be in that direction, expect pics and videos of as much ‘new for 2006′ as we can possibly hit.

Have a good 2006 everyone.
