Fun Spot Pictures, Afterburner Video, Zyklon Video

Aug 24, 2007

Another day, another update. This time I have almost 50 new photos and two new videos - all from Fun Spot Amusement Park. If you want to see all the new stuff as efficiently as possible, I suugest first looking at the Fun Spot Pictures and then from there snagging a copy of the Afterburner video and then a copy of the Zyklon video. Good stuff.

Aside from that I just wanted to take another chance to thank all of you for visiting the site. Traffic is up and coasterimage.com remains one of the (if not THE) most trafficked amusement park media site on the internet. I truly appeciate the support and if you like what you find here remember to pass the good word to a friend.

Speaking of amusement park media, I’m not sure you’ll find a more complete collection anywhere. We have the photo galleries. We have videos. We have specialty photos like the panoramics and 3D photos. We have tons of downloads including game files, wallpapers and even Winamp skins. We have special features full of related material. We have merchandise. We have interactive maps - great resources for research, general info and trip planning. It’s the full package.

What I find most amazing is that this website is generally a passive experience. Many roller coaster or theme park sites rely on their users to supply the content via forums, trips reports, video submissions, photo submissions and the like. This site doesn’t work that way. I do all the dirty work and all you have to do is enjoy. It’s an experience I’m proud to be able to offer everyone who stops by. Again, thanks to everyone.

As far as the near future, I still have tons of stuff to get online and still even more trips planned for this year. The photo galleries alone should be past 6000 photos from almost 100 parks by the time I get it all online. I have more video to add and I have a few special features to include as well. This fall/winter we’ll get the 2006/2007 DVD available - free of charge, of course! (I might even offer an ‘at cost’ alternative with additional features included, but that’ll be decided later) - all in all there’s tons of new material coming your way. Coasterimage.com remains the place to be.

If you want to keep up with all the action a couple of good ways (besides stopping by regularly) are to join the mailing list and/or subscribe to our YouTube channel. You’ll be notified when there’s new media ready for consumption - and I won’t fill your inbox with a constant barrage of useless promotional messages. Just a friendly reminder every month or so letting you know what’s up.

I think that covers it all this time. In case you didn’t catch it the first three times - I appreciate the support. The more you support the site the more I can give back.

3D Theme Park & Roller Coaster Pictures

Aug 6, 2007

If there’s one thing I’m always willing to do with this website, it’s go out on a limb and take a chance with a new idea. Sometimes they stick around as a popular addition and sometimes they fade away never to be seen again. Time for another one of those kind of ideas.

I gave y’all the heads up a couple of times a little while back and hopefully you paid attention because the first of the 3D theme park photos is now online.

This is just the initial offering. More will be added as I update the site. If you’re interest head on over to the 3D Photos Page and get started. All the info you need to enjoy the images is right there.

I know more than a few of you are itching for a ‘real’ update and that’s not far behind. As I mentioned before, I have a backlog of 10 parks or so to get through and we’re still hitting the parks…and will be for the next couple of months even.

Don’t worry I’ll have a new gallery and video up sooner than later. I’ve already started working on things and just need to get it finished up, organized and ready for consumption. Keep an eye out.

Until then, enjoy the 3D pictures - they’re actually pretty cool if you give them a chance and if you don’t have a pair of 3D glasses laying around (or the wrong kind) then all the info you need to get a free pair is available on the 3D Photos main page. Have fun with it.
