Six Flags Great America Pictures, Deja Vu Video

Oct 3, 2005

I warned you guys near the end of August that things slow down around here come fall and this year has been no exception. Looks like the dry spell is ending and all is about to get back up to speed. I have a lot to offer with this update so let’s just get to it.

First and foremost are the new Six Flags Great America pictures - 82 photos from the park. In addition, I’ve added a Deja Vu video…from Great America, of course. On top of that I have four new wallpaper images - all shots from Great America as well. It’s a Six Flags Great America extravaganza!

You’ll also find 5 new Roller Coaster Tycoon files, so be sure to take a look at those. Then I did a bunch of little things to the site, the usual ’stuff you won’t notice’ that makes things easier and/or better in the long run.

I just want to thank everyone for visiting the site and especially sticking with me through those slow periods. I have no idea what’s up next. I still have new photos from 10 different parks to get to (some new, some updates) and with all the little ‘upgrades’ I’ve been making to the site, I hope you’ll find us either entertaining or useful enough to pass the good word along. The site really exists and thrives because of the visitors. The more you give us, the more we can give back. So basically, thanks for the support, tell someone who might dig what we do about us and hopefully we can make winter seem a whole lot shorter with all the updates we have coming between now and spring.

You know, 2006 is looking awfully good for coaster fans…

Paul Bunyan’s, Tommy Barlett’s Gyrotron, RCT3 Files

Aug 2, 2005

Ain’t no update like a coasterimage update ‘cos the coasterimage updates don’t stop! (quit pointing and laughing - you’ll know you’ll be singing that crap for the next week)

Indeed the updates don’t stop. I promised a few smaller, rapid-fire updates and here they come. My suggestion is to put your helmet on and duck for cover.

First off is the addition of the smallest gallery I’ve ever done - Paul Bunyan’s Adventure Golf. This one weighs in at a whopping 2 photos. That’s what happens when a place no longer operates.

Secondly, I added a short feature covering Tommy Bartlett’s Gyrotron. It’s a little indoor place in Wisconsin Dells with some unique offerings. Certainly worth the few minutes It’ll take to check out.

Finally, there’s new Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 files. Now that Soaked has hit the scene, my interest is there again. For how long? Who knows?

That’s what’s new this time around. A bunch of little stuff. So love it already! Check back in a few days, I have Timber Falls photos almost ready to go and if you ask me, Avalanche is the best coaster in Wisconsin.

New RCT3 Parks

Apr 4, 2005

Just a quickie this time. I did a couple of Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 parks over the weekend. Might be worth a look if you’re a fan of the game. Rippling Hills started as a wooden coaster, but something just feels so wrong about doing a lone coaster in RCT3 so I added some rides and stuff around it and before I knew it I had a small park done. The other park is titled ‘Panini Island’ and features a very unique layout with two great coasters and the park entrance in the center of the park. Both worth a download and exploration if your an RCT fan. You just might pick up some ideas for your own parks.

I have my Marineland photos all sorted and prettied up. Now I just need to put it all together as a gallery and get it online. Expect those photos in the next week or so.

Besides that it’s just a lot of behind the scenes type stuff. You may have noticed the look of the site has already changed a tad since the new design went up. I’m throwing together new tunes for this year’s videos. We’re booking rooms and mapping out our early 2005 trips and already contemplating the late summer options. This is always the most exciting time of year. The parks are opening regionally, the weather is starting to break, last year’s stuff is all pretty much done and online - nothing to do but look ahead. Coaster website spring cleaning so to speak.

Enjoy the RCT3 parks, enjoy the imporving weather (although it is snowing here as I type this - it’s April, right?) and enjoy…ummm, other stuff too. I’ll have those Marineland pics up next week sometime. As usual, be sure to stop back and take a look.

Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 Sceenshots and Vids

Sep 29, 2004

I added some screens and vids from the Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 Demo. I’ll have downloads as soon as the game comes out. Until then this crap will have to do.

I’ll have a new gallery online in a few days. Most likely Idlewild Park, so check back for that.

RCT2 Downloads

Jul 20, 2003

The Carowinds pics are just around the corner. They’re scanned, they just need oraganized. I added a bunch of RCT2 files. Some good stuff there for your RCT players. Many little updates/fixes too - the kind of stuff, that you may not even notice.
I also added another ad type to the videos section. When you click the link to download a video, you may (not always) be taken to a full page ad. In 10 seconds the video download will proceed as normal. If you do not wish to wait, you can click the link (or ’skip’ button) at the top of the advertisement page to continue immediately. I apologize, but those videos are getting hit at ridiculous levels and I have to do something to cover the bandwidth or remove them. Removing them is the absolute last resort. You have no problem watching commercials on television, so an occasional commercial (that you can skip by even) to get our videos shouldn’t be too much. I just wanted to let everyone know what was up. That covers it. Those Carowinds pics will be online in a few days. Check back mid-week.
