I just added the photos from our last trip to Waldameer this past Labor Day weekend. There’s 35 new photos and more than half of them are Ravine Flyer II pictures. Good stuff there. It shouldn’t be too hard to tell the old from the new - the new photos are the bigger size. There’s also a handful of new photos of the other roller coasters and even some new ride photos. A little bit of everything. Definitely take a few minutes to check out the new Waldameer Park pictures.

Time for a photo update. This time I have 140 brand new Hard Rock Park Pictures. The timing of this update feels too appropriate being as in the last day or so the park has come forward about their mounting finacial trouble and it looks like they may not reopen in 2009 unless someone steps forward to buy the park. It’s a shame, really. Hard Rock Park instantly catapulted to the top spots of our ‘favorite parks’ list. So while we all wait to see what happens with the park in the future, go take a look at the Hard Rock …

So it begins. As you can plainly see, the main page has been updated and in case you haven’t peeked yet, the gallery update is finally finished. At this point that’s all I’ve changed. Any other section of the site remains in the style of the old design. The thing is that with almost 7000 pages in the gallery, the vast majority of the site has been switched. The other little sections represent something like 10% of the site and those areas will be updated throughout the winter as I get to it.

In case you’ve been out of the loop, earlier this week Carowinds announced their 2009 addition - Carolina Cobra. The new coaster will be installed in the very spot where the Flying Super Saturator once stood - I use the past tense because the park began dismantling the ride last month.
That’s where I come in. The new Flying Super Saturator video was taken in July - just a month or so before the ride closed for the last time. Take a final look at the world’s first suspended water coaster as it operated in it’s final season.
