Waldameer Pictures

I just added the photos from our last trip to Waldameer this past Labor Day weekend. There’s 35 new photos and more than half of them are Ravine Flyer II pictures. Good stuff there. It shouldn’t be too hard to tell the old from the new - the new photos are the bigger size. There’s also a handful of new photos of the other roller coasters and even some new ride photos. A little bit of everything. Definitely take a few minutes to check out the new Waldameer Park pictures.
After that head on over to our Facebook Page and add yourself as ...

Hard Rock Park Pictures

Time for a photo update. This time I have 140 brand new Hard Rock Park Pictures. The timing of this update feels too appropriate being as in the last day or so the park has come forward about their mounting finacial trouble and it looks like they may not reopen in 2009 unless someone steps forward to buy the park. It’s a shame, really. Hard Rock Park instantly catapulted to the top spots of our ‘favorite parks’ list. So while we all wait to see what happens with the park in the future, go take a look at the Hard Rock ...

Ch-Ch-Ch-Changes

So it begins. As you can plainly see, the main page has been updated and in case you haven’t peeked yet, the gallery update is finally finished. At this point that’s all I’ve changed. Any other section of the site remains in the style of the old design. The thing is that with almost 7000 pages in the gallery, the vast majority of the site has been switched. The other little sections represent something like 10% of the site and those areas will be updated throughout the winter as I get to it.
So what’s different? The site design is wider. Flat ...

Flying Super Saturator Video

In case you’ve been out of the loop, earlier this week Carowinds announced their 2009 addition - Carolina Cobra. The new coaster will be installed in the very spot where the Flying Super Saturator once stood - I use the past tense because the park began dismantling the ride last month.
That’s where I come in. The new Flying Super Saturator video was taken in July - just a month or so before the ride closed for the last time. Take a final look at the world’s first suspended water coaster as it operated in it’s final season.
Also, the new gallery is ...

Guess Where We Stopped

Scored a little Ravine Flyer II action.
Still need to finish the new gallery though…moving 6000 pictures and their corresponding info is a little more time consuming than I estimated. Tons of updates coming as soon as I finish. My guess is another two weeks.

Great Nor’Easter Video

Check this out. I threw together a Great Nor’Easter video for your enjoyment. Yeah, just for you. It’s a pretty neat little video that shows the ride in action at night - complete with the crazy light show the coaster has going on. Make sure you give it a look.
I’m still transferring all the photos and info over to the new gallery. It’s a redundant pain in the butt, but it’ll be so much better when it’s done. Just stick with me a while longer and I start getting new stuff posted regularly again. At the very least, I’ll let everyone ...

2008 Amusement Park Souvenir Cups

In a move that always makes me chuckle when I do it, I’ve updated the Souvenir Cup special feature. Yeah, it started as a tongue-in-cheek bit of silliness and still isn’t meant to be taken too seriously, but I stick with it. If I’m going to get these damn cups, I might as well put them to good use, right? Give it a look if you appreciate things like that.
For those of you that don’t, you’re probably thinking, “What the hell!? I mean, didn’t this guy just visit something stupid like 25 parks and all we get is pictures of those ...

Days 6, 7 & 8 - Back Home

Sorry for the lack of updates the last two days. What can I say? A couple of late nights, a lot of driving and things just caught up with me. Since the last update we visited Hard Rock Park, South Of The Border, another Nascar Speedpark and Camden Park before getting back home Saturday evening.
I’ll spare all of the details for now. Just understand that I took a ridiculous amount of photos and a little video along the way. I’m now sitting on enough material between the last trip and this one to keep updates coming for quite a while.

Day 5 - Four Parks

First off, a recap. Day three at Carowinds was a blast. We had tons of fun and I took plenty of photos. But when we returned to the hotel, we found no internet service. I tried multiple resources, but nothing was falling into place for me. Sadly, I was unable to share my jubilation over our spectacular day. The next morning you got the short apology as I was hitting the road.
There was no update for day four because we really didn’t do any park-related stuff…and because I was fried. Nothing to update means no update, right?
So here we are on ...
