New Carowinds Pictures

New Carowinds Pictures

This is an interesting update…to me, at least. I’ve added 88 Carowinds pictures to the photo gallery. It’s interesting in that these photos are from a little while back and a lot has changed at the park just since these photos have been taken. It’s kind of like a brand new look back in that sense. Also intersting in that a lot more will be changing in 2010 at the park with the removal of the Nickelodeon characters and the addition of the Intimidator coaster – luckily we will be visiting the park again in 2010, so you’ll know where to find all the photos and videos.

Another little tidbit that I find of interst is that Carowinds was one of the last parks I photographed using film…back in 2003 just weeks before I started transitioning to all digital. It’s funny to look at these new pictures next to those older film shots from 2003. It’s amazing how far the technology (and my skills) have come from the beginning of the decade to the end. And it serves as a reminder of where to look for the best amusement park photography on the internet. (there’s some really nice shots in the new batch of Carowinds stuff)

At any rate, you can swing by and check out all 159 Carowinds pictures or you can just browse the 88 new ones if you so desire. Either way works for me.

Not sure I have much else this time. Check out merchandise and DVDs for quick gifts with the holidays closing in fast. Head over and check out our Facebook page and become a fan – all the cool kids have…and the special ‘Facebook only’ offer posted over there still stands until the end of the year if you haven’t seen it yet.

I’d like to get another update in before the year ends. I’ve started plugging away on some Morey’s Piers photos that are looking pretty good so far. I’m also hoping to getting around to some much-needed updates around the site as soon as 2010 hits and the winter doldrums set in. It’s all good. We’re coasting along just fine (no pun intended – puns are stupid) and looking forward to some serious park visits in 2010.
