Boomers is a chain of "Family Entertainment
Centers" with locations all across the USA operating under
the name. Standard fare includes "upcharge" style thrill
rides, batting cages, arcades, go karts - the usual entertainment
center stuff. The Dania location is most notable due to the Dania
Beach Hurricane - a large, world class wooden coaster. I really
found it to be an underrated ride that, if located elsewhere, would
recieve much more attention from enthusiasts than it does now. Certainly
it's a coaster that deserves a visit if you're ever in the South
Florida area. Add to it several mini-golf courses, some crazy go-kart
tracks, a few upcharge thrill attractions, a handful of kiddie rides
and a large arcade and you have a place to enjoy the day. |
