SYNOPSIS
We first visited Hersheypark during the Christmas Candylane event they hold each winter. It was a blast riding in the cool weather with everything all decorated for the holidays and only having part of the park open just whetted our appetite for a trip back. We made the regular season return trip in July and loved the park just as much as the first visit. It's much bigger than I expected and the rides are all top notch. Great Bear is a very unique B&M Inverted design and Lightning Racer is among the best wooden coasters in the country. Storm Runner is a rocket coaster worthy of many enthusiasts top ten list. I dare say that with all the rides, the chocolate factory and the Zooamerica area, you may need two days to do the whole thing. Certainly a must-stop for anyone in the central PA area.
