No, this photo doesn't demonstrate my inability to hold a camera level. You actually climb the lift hill tilted like this. I have no idea why, but I'm sure someone will drop me a line explaining it eventually.

It took less than 24 hours to get a response on that. Andy writes:

"The reason why Wild Mouse at Idlewild has a tilted lift hill is because whilst it resided at Wiener Prater park as Speedy Gonzales a large revolving cylinder covered the lift which, combined with the tilt, disorientated riders, adding to this excitment! I'm English, and I got to sample this very ride when it lived at Alton Towers. And we Brits miss it!"
