There's more than corn in Indiana. At least that's what the folks at Indiana Beach want you to remember - and they make a point to slap the saying anywhere they can. The simple truth is that they're right. Travel just a little off the beaten path to Monticello, Indiana and find yourself at one of the best little parks in the country. It is really hard to find the words to accurately describe the park without just telling you to go there and see for yourself. The park has everything any good park should - 5 coasters, an assortment of flat rides, a great staff, a water show and a location right in the middle of Lake Shafer. Rides are stacked and wedged all over the boardwalk and the atmosphere just screams 'midwest lake resort' where ever you look. Honestly, I'm having a hard time putting it into words. Let me just say it easily makes our short list of favorite parks and that you should check out the photos. Hopefully they capture just a fraction of the atmosphere and fun to be had. If you're ever in Indiana, travel a little past the corn and find your way to Indiana Beach. You won't be disappointed! |
