| SYNOPSIS |
We stopped by Pedroland Park on our way back from
Orlando. We had passed by South of the Border (and their gazillion
billboards along I-95) before and this time we figured it be a fun
place to stop on our way home. South Of The Border has got to be
the undisputed king of kitschy roadside attractions. Everything
about the place screams "tacky but fun". The South Of
The Border motor inn was an experience in itself and the nearby
shops and restaurants must be seen to be believed. Also if you continue
down the road (301, I believe) past SOTB just a short way, you'll
run into several "adult entertainment" establishments
- always a plus! We had to be on the road before Pedroland Park
opened but I still stopped by and got some shots of the park. If
you're ever traveling on I-95 near the North Carolina/South Carolina
border and need a break - stop by South Of The Border...at the very
least you'll have a good laugh. |
