Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom is a medium sized park in Louisville, Kentucky that offers big sized thrill rides. Their collection of seven coasters is nothing to sneeze at. Chang is a wild stand-up coaster with 5 inversions. Twisted Twins is a dueling wooden coaster. Thunder Run is a wooden coaster with a unique layout offering enough airtime to make everyone happy. Greezed Lightnin' is a shuttle loop coaster that still uses old-school technology (no crazy magnets or hydraulics on this one). There's also a suspended coaster, wild mouse and family coaster to round out the line-up. The park has a one of a kind layout being spilt in half by an active roadway. Getting from one side of the park to the other means crossing a bridge over the road. Even if the rides aren't your thing, there is a large waterpark to spend the day at. Shows, parades and the usual assortment of theme park rides and ativities round out the park and it really does offer something for all types of visitors. Kentucky Kingdom is certainly worth consideration if you ever find yourself in northern Kentucky and needing a theme park fix. |
