I grew up in western Pennsylvania and never heard
of Waldameer until I started really getting into the whole coaster
and amusement park thing. In 2003 I finally got the chance to visit
and found a small park that would make traditional park enthusiasts
happy as can be. Even though Waldameer is small, it still features
a waterpark and a classic wooden coaster with Comet. In 2004 we
returned to check out the new addition of Steel Dragon, a spinning
coaster. Good fun. You'll also find a sprinkling of standard, yet
entertaining, flat rides to enjoy and a couple of great dark rides.
Over all, a nice place to spend a lazy summer day or a great side
stop for enthusists on tour. |
