We initially planned to visit Wild Adventures for
the Grand Opening of Cheetah. The originally scheduled date for
this event was May 25, 2001. However, as the day got closer Wild
Adventures moved the Grand Opening to June 16. Normally fine except
that June 16 landed squarely in the middle of our already finalized
plans for a trip to visit Kennywood (we do every year) and Six Flags
Worlds Of Adventure (for a chance at the newly opened X-Flight).
We rescheduled for July 29. On that day I visited Wild Adventures
with my wife (7 months pregnant at the time), her best friend, my
3 year old daughter and my mother in law (who is a stereotypical
mother in law in every way) - on top of this the humidity was high
and the temperature that day reached the mid 90's. You'd think I
was in for a bad trip. Not really. Wild Adventures is a fun little
park that truly offers something for the whole family (except shade).
The park's setup made photographing a few of the rides a bit on
the tough side, but overall I had a good experience and I'd recommend
the park to anyone who was going to be in the area. Cheetah is a
great CCI woodie and clearly the highlight of the park. |
