Free amusement park and roller coaster DVDs! Sounds cool, huh? I thought so too. The truth is so many websites and enthusiasts and groups and whatnot offer DVDs that I’ve always felt like I should too. The only problem is pretty much all the DVDs you buy from these people are just videos burned to a DVD-R, maybe slapped into a case with an ink-jet printed cover and tossed into the mail. I just couldn’t justify charging people for that. Pretty much anyone is capable of doing the same thing on their own, why should I make anyone pay for that?
Then it hit me. Why make people pay for them indeed! Why not offer the DVD files for download and let the visitors to the site burn the disc themselves? That’s exactly what I’m doing!
Download the files for the DVD, burn them to your DVD medium of choice and enjoy it. In a matter of an hour or so, you can have a coasterimage DVD in your hands that’s awfully similar to what most others try to sell you – and you get it for free! Pretty cool concept.
Don’t think these are just the video files from the site set up to play on a DVD either. These are full DVD resolution versions of the videos, the discs have interactive, animated menus and there’s even bonus videos included that can’t be downloaded from this website. Good stuff.
