Afterburner is one of only a handful of Launched Loop coasters made by Arrow left in operation. The trip to Fun Spot would have been worth it just to experience this.
The ride basically consists of two elevated platforms at either end of the ride and a loop in the middle at ground level. A moderate launch (by today's standards) sends you on your way. At the other end the process is reversed. Pretty simple stuff.
