New for 2008 at Hersheypark was the Fahrenheit roller coaster. Featuring a 121 foot tall vertical lift hill and a steeper-than-vertical first drop at 97 degrees, it’s a ride that caught the attention of coaster fans everywhere.

But get beyond that intital lift and drop combo and you’ll find that this isn’t a one-trick pony. The ride is 2700 feet long, reaches speeds of almost 60 miles per hour and features 6 inversions including the first (and currently only) ‘norwegian loop’ in the United States. Certainly a thrill by just about any definition of the word.
