In 2003 Dorney Park announced the closing of their
Hercules wooden coaster. We were given teasers as to what was
to come. The park came up with an elaborate story behind the removal
of the Hercules coaster and the arrival of its replacement, Hydra:
The Revenge. The story has Hydra rising and extracting its revenge
on Hercules.
Hydra is a really unique ride
and I can honestly say I've never been on a coaster quite like
it. It has it's own style and pacing that makes it tough to compare
to other rides. Even after several rides I find it tough to characterize
